The category picker in the nav bar is simpler now: ticking or unticking a category saves your choice right away — no more separate "Apply" button to remember to click.
The "View Shopping List" button that sat under the dinner cards on the dashboard now only shows up on mobile, since it was redundant next to the Shopping List link already in the nav bar on desktop and tablet.
Fixed hard-to-read text in the Advanced User Guide and Quick Start Guide — some headings and technical terms now show up in a proper, readable dark color across every browser and theme (was nearly invisible in Google Chrome on some themes).
Fixed local development startup (RUN_LOCAL.bat) after a larger behind-the-scenes code cleanup.

Large cleanup and simplification of the code behind the website (no visible change for you, but makes future improvements safer and faster to build).
Added automatic security protections: limited the number of login attempts to prevent password guessing, and closed a gap that could reveal whether an email address was registered or not.
Fixed a bug where exporting the shopping list could fail on the live, deployed version of the app.
Fixed a bug where deleting an account could fail if the account had older, historical data.
Fixed the "Import Recipe Packs" button on the All Recipes page going to the wrong page.
Fixed a mobile display issue where the All Recipes page didn't properly adapt to narrow screens.
Fixed a no-results search issue on All Recipes — searching for something that didn't exist just left the page blank with no message. Now shows "No recipes found".
Menu generation now clearly warns you if it couldn't fill every day you asked for (e.g. too few recipes in the selected categories), instead of silently handing back a shorter menu with no explanation.
Fixed a concurrency bug in the local development database that could occasionally give the dice-reroll and recipe-swap buttons a generic error message.

Added a dice/reroll button (🎲) under each dinner on the dashboard — swap out just that one day's dinner for a new random suggestion, without regenerating the whole week.
Added search-and-pick — look up a specific recipe and assign it straight to a chosen day, right from the dashboard.
Fixed a serious bug where swapping days in the menu (or assigning a new recipe to a day) sometimes didn't actually save, even though the app said "success".
"What's New" and "What's Planned" have been moved into the Help section in settings, alongside the other help guides — they used to sit next to "All Recipes" and could easily be misread as something else.
Added a new recipe pack: "Around the World" — 16 classic dishes, one from each of 16 countries.
The category previously called "Sides & Light Meals" is now called "Light Meals".
Cleaned up a range of recipes: removed duplicates, moved desserts and side dishes out of the dinner suggestions, and fixed incorrect ingredient amounts (including one recipe that called for 10 grams of saffron — corrected to a realistic pinch).

Added a "Back" button at the top of every page, so you can easily return to wherever you just were — without navigating through the menu again.
Change day now works as a true swap: if the recipe you pick is already planned for a different day this week, the two days trade places instead of one silently disappearing.
Removed the "Delete" button from inside the recipe page itself — it was confusing with "remove from this week's menu". Delete is still available on All Recipes, where it's clear it applies to your recipe catalog.
Clearer indicator of your selected language — an arrow next to the active language in settings, and a small flag next to your avatar.
The Quick Start Guide has been reordered to reflect how the app is actually meant to be used: add your own recipes first, imported packs are a template/temporary option.
Fixed a bug where the main dashboard kept showing the old recipe after swapping in a brand-new one on a day.
Fixed a couple of display glitches in the settings menu (rendering off-screen on some screen sizes, or staying open after pressing "Back").

You can now choose how many days to generate a menu for (1-6), instead of always 6.
"Change day" and "Delete recipe" are now available directly from inside the recipe page too, not just All Recipes.
The shopping list now shows correct Norwegian units (e.g. "ss"/"ts"/"stk" instead of English abbreviations), and strips prep instructions like "sliced" out of ingredient names.
Fixed several measurement unit errors in imported recipes (mixed Norwegian/English).
Fixed a bug where "Change day" reported success but nothing actually changed.
Fixed the category list under Settings sometimes appearing empty for some households.
Improved mobile display: household settings, the settings menu, and the PIN box all behave better on small screens.
The app should now keep you logged in for longer, and a bug that could cause "Oops!" error pages has been fixed.
